Gianni Ferrari commercial mowing produces a
range of mowers from 16hp to 60 hp in Grass Collection, Mulching/Rear Discharge
and Side Discharge configurations.
Grass Collection starts with the ZTR (Zero
Turn Radius) Turbograss range which includes the Compact sized 630 Bambino with
a 350 Litre hopper, the 730 Bambino with a 400 litre hopper, through to the
standard Turbograss ranging up to 500 Litres. The standard 630 and 730 are
available with High Lift Hopper Elevators for dumping grass clippings into a
truck or trailer for increased productivity.
At the upper end of the Grass Collection
line-up where collection capacities up to 125,000 litres of grass and debris
per day is achievable, are the world beating Turbo 2 and Turbo 4 units, each
equipped with an 1120 Litre hopper.
At the top end of the Gianni Ferrari range is
the Turbo 5 and the Turbo 6, both in a class of their own in the Wide Area
Mower market. The Turbo 6 is capable of reaching productivity in the region of
14 acres per hour. In this market segment the primary focus is to cut as much
grass as you can in as little time as possible – it’s all about productivity,
and nothing does it as well as the Turbo 6.
Some of the features that bring productivity
to the fore in this machine are truly ingenious in their concept and
application. A prime example of the forward thinking engineers is the development
of the “Side-Shift” function of the wing decks. This feature allows each wing
deck to independently move inward or outward, varying the cutting width. The
benefits are manifold and significant, and among other things means the
operator no longer needs to drive around trees – simply drive up to the tree,
shift the wing inward and then shift it out again once the tree has passed.
All this is accomplished on-the-run; truly a
time-saving (productivity enhancing) feature, and that’s only one of about 20 other
patented features competitor offerings can’t match.
Powered by the environmentally friendly EU4
version of Kubota’s V2003T engine, and coupled to the Danfoss Hydraulic power
pack, the performance from the Turbo 6 can only be described as awesome, and
really needs to be operated to be fully appreciated.
